Battling is not very complicated here at Pokemon Galaxies. I will go into the basics.
Items that Heal and Their Effects
Full Heals and the Status Problem curing items work as usual. We do not use any other berries other than Oran and Sitrus so do not worry about them.
Now for the battle style.
First you want to make clear that you are in a cave, in tall grass, fishing in water (state what rod you are using), or surfing. This will help on which Pokemon the staff will choose for you to battle.
Each Pokemon will start off at 100% when you catch them or obtain them in any way. After battles, your Pokemon will keep any damage and status problems they obtained during the previous battle. Your Pokemon will be instantly healed when you enter a new city or backtrack into an old one.
You and the wild Pokemon will take turns attacking each other, only one attack per turn, you controlling your Pokemon, and a staff member controlling the wild Pokemon. Only one Pokemon will appear at a time during a wild Pokemon battle, unless you are traveling with someone, then you can have a double battle, as long as you make it clear that both are battling. Unfortunately, if you choose not to double battle, the second player is not aloud to continue on, until you are done.
If the staff member chooses, either Pokemon can also be hit by natural damage like being thrown hard against a rock or tree, or being burned by landing near a random fire.
The Player can only exchange Pokemon once, but can you can use both Pokemon as you wish, meaning switching in and out between the two. The only time you can use more than two is if both of the two Pokemon you used are knocked out. You cannot switch Pokemon in a double battle.
The Experience system is simple and easy to understand: For the use of one Pokemon, the EXP earned will be half of the wild Pokemon's level, for two or a double battle, the EXP will be a 1/4 of the EXP for each.
One thing I forgot to mention was that you can choose to use whatever two Pokemon you wish, it is not like the games where you use the first slot Pokemon.
Now that you have read these rules, here is a secret word, after reading all the rules and you've collected every secret word rearrange them into a secret phrase. The secret word is: Likes
