First of all, to role-play a life as a Pokemon Trainer, you will need to make a character. To do this, make an application in the Sign Up Board. Copy and paste the application code from the template that is provided and fill out the required fields. Brendan, the forum's admin will look at your application and accept it or not. He will tell you what to fix if it is not acceptable.
Try to stay in character in the Role-Play area, also stick to your character's personality when role-playing, a shy character would not get up in front of a huge crowd and give a tremendous 2 hour long speech.
You can create as many characters as you wish, but you must play all of them, if you do not play a character for more than 2 weeks, it will be deleted.
Just like traditional Pokemon, you can only have up to 6 Pokemon in your party at once. All other Pokemon will be held inside the box. You can request to exchange Pokemon in the box as long as you are in a city/town and not in a battle.
Make sure to post updates constantly, this includes making sure Pokemon that you captured are added to your collection, your Pokemon get their EXP earned, any items you earned, and any money you earned. A staff member will be able to update you.
Time fast-forwarding is acceptable up to a limit, only once in awhile can you fast forward time, you can not travel an entire route in 2 minutes. You should only fast-forward time when it is unnecessary to play out the time.
Your characters can travel with other players, but you cannot travel with your own characters, meaning two of your characters traveling together. You also need to make sure that it is okay with the other player for you to travel along with them. You both need to be at the same location to travel together.
You cannot make Pokemon appear, only staff members can do that. However, you can make a Pokemon appear as long as you DO NOT interact with it too much, meaning you can give t a berry if you have one, but that it is really all you can do, you can not make your own wild Pokemon battles.
When you first start out, you will not have any Pokemon, items, or money. To get your first Pokemon, you must do the quest "Your Very First Pokemon" before you can get your first Pokemon. Check out the other quests on how to get money and/or items, some might even reward a Pokemon!
Also, you must have a link to your journal in your signature, to do this, you should go to your journal page, and in the address bar at the top, copy the link, then go to your Profile page and click on "Modify Profile", scroll down to the Signature text box and post it in there. Make sure to save and that's it. Easy, huh?
Now that you have read these rules, here is a secret word, after reading all the rules and you've collected every secret word rearrange them into a secret phrase. The secret word is: Hair
